Pick up a Book, People!

This one blows me away: One quarter of adult Americans read no books in the past year. Zip. Zero. None.

And, naturally, men are worse than women. One in three men doesn't know how to find a library, bookstore or Amazon.com -- and football season hasn't even started yet!

I'm not much for pleading, but if you are one of the "unread," please pick up a novel, a classic or a Harry Potter and read. Civilization wants you back.
