Chivalry in Journalism

5/14/09 - Generally, I'm not shy about making my opinion known when journalists do things that annoy me. So, it is only fair that I call your attention to the actions of a journalist that really impressed us today.

Below is an excerpt from an e-mail which Julio received from a reporter at an internationally known news outlet. The reporter interviewed our client earlier today and sent this follow up a few minutes ago. We took out the names but you will get my point: Chivalry in journalism lives.

"Thanks for giving us the opportunity to speak to [our client]. On this occasion, we had a surfeit of comments from around the country in reaction to the [news of the day], so we may not be able to use [our client's] comments immediately at this time (We did however cite him in an April 30 story on this subject). But, as [our client] himself commented, this...crisis is not finished yet, so I'm sure we'll be speaking with him again."
