My first straight-razor shave

Last Friday, I experienced my first straight-razor shave, the old-school barbershop shave that you usually see only in old movies. Our client, Chris Hurn of Mercantile Commercial Capital, recently launched a new franchise business called Kennedy's All-American Barber Club which features old-fashioned hair cuts and shaves in a 21st century, slick environment. Chris and his guys were exhibiting at the Franchise Expo South in Miami Beach and invited me for a free shave.

It was most definitely the closest shave I have ever had, and I told them in my video testimonial that it turns a chore into an experience. Look for Kennedy's franchises when you travel (mainly in Orlando at the moment) and give them a try.

Take a look at the Kennedy's All-American Barber Club Web site, and click below to check out a quick clip of me going under the knife.

Video proliferates PR -- even in commercial real estate

In a further sign of the times that online video is becoming more and more significant for public relations, we secured a video hit for client ParkSouth on the video channel of Florida Investor.

Among other things, the site presents Web casts on major commercial real estate projects complete with images of the project and detailed background information.
